Rights Stuff MD Wendy Bernfeld attends Cannes Film Festival(17th-20th) as a VOD buyer for svod platforms, a NEXT Pavilion panel moderator and a Producers Network breakfast roundtable host.
On 18 May (10:00-12:00), Wendy chairs a panel of various international VOD platform heads, including from Europe and Latin America titled “Opportunities and Angles in the International Digital and VOD landscape”. After her helicopter view summary of current opportunities for producers/filmmakers (licensing, funding) from VOD platforms internationally, beyond big5 / mainstream to arthouse and niche, she turns to canvass views , programming and biz models from the VOD platform panelists out there in the trenches and follows up with audience Q&A. On the 19th (9:00-11:00) Wendy hosts a Producers Network Breakfast Meeting at Plage des Palmes.
