Rights Stuff MD Wendy Bernfeld presents two lectures at an intensive workshop on Digital Distribution and European Co-Production for Spanish and international filmmakers/producers. In the first presentation, Wendy provides an overview of the latest trends in the international digital sector, including VOD licensing, new platforms/business models for licensing and funding, as well as a focus on new original content production (webisode, cross-platform, and transmedia) and creative ''windows''. She also discusses the evolving roles of distributors, sales agents, and other middlemen including ''hybrid distribution''. In the second talk, focussed more on social media, she outlines various recent approaches and examples, showing the potential for creatively harnessing audience enthusiasm and building the buzz early on (before, during and after the film's launch).
