Oct. 9, 2026: Client #WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization- re Development Agenda ) published a collection of timely reports on ‘’#Copyright and the #Distribution of Content in the #Digital Environment – Phase II’’- read more here
I'm particularly honored to have collaborated with Rodrigo Salinas and World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO on one of these: the specific topical report on the evolving world of #licensing content for #AI training purposes: see our ‘’Case study: Licensing of Audiovisual Content for AI Training’’, one of the reports listed at the link above.
Via research and interviews, we focussed on AV content licensing trends, practices, experiences, re AI system training - the state of the industry now, in midst of backdrop of legal issues/cases, the rise of pragmatic licensing alternatives and opportunities with specialized aggregators,- those who ask permission, sign contracts, pay $, and (some who) also add rights/IP protections into the deals in various ways. An evolving landscape, not to be ignored.
